AIRRES is unique in Alaska. It is the only broadcast reading service in the state. AIRRES is now providing Alaska's many local newspapers, national magazines, CNN, BBC, NPR and Golden Hours reading service from Portland, Oregon for our listeners throughout the state via the internet and special "blind-friendly" internet receivers.
AIB, Alaska Independent Blind, is Alaska's largest membership and advocacy organization for the blind and vision impaired. AIB advocates for issues such as transportation, accessibility and fair treatment by government and private service providers.
